Introductory Course

This introduction course is held over 4 sessions over 2 months by Sydney Kyudo Kai, and is designed to introduce the basics of Kyudo to anyone who is interested – no experience required.

You must be present at all four sessions to complete the course.

You will be taught the fundamental postures, movements, rituals and the eight stages of shooting.

Kyudo training requires long-term practice for body adaptation to fulfil specific requirements of kyudo - this is just the first step on your kyudo journey. 

To register, please complete the enrolment form linked below and pay the fee via eft

  • Minimum age 16 

  • Only 10 places are available.

  • Please note that once a session is attended, the course fee is not refundable.

  • If you complete the enrolment form but fail to send the money, your place will be forfeited.

Cost: $100pp

2021 Session 2 beginning June 6th is now full and closed. The dates for Session 2 will be: 

  • June 6th and 20th, 2021

  • July 18th, 2021

  • August 1st, 2021

2021 Session 3 beginning October is now closed for enrolments. If you would like to go on the waiting list, please email and share your contact number. Dates for the course will be:

  • October 3rd and 17th, 2021

  • November 7th and 21st, 2021

What to bring: Yourself in comfortable clothes and socks

Where: Sydney Secondary College Leichhardt Campus, 210 Balmain Rd, Leichhardt NSW 2040. Entrance of the gymnasium via Derbyshire Road. Please navigate to 38 Derbyshire Rd in Google Maps then head north to reach a small gate for the school hall entrance.
